Keyboard shortcut for inserting new slides in PowerPoint 97/2000/2001/2002

To quickly insert a new slide with the previously inserted slide's layout (or the default layout if it's the first time you used the New Slide button since you launched PowerPoint), hold down [Ctrl] ([option] on the Mac) and press [Enter]. If you have placeholders on your slide, you'll first cycle through each of the placeholders as you continue pressing [Ctrl] ([option] on the Mac) and [Enter]. Once you cycle through all of the placeholders, a new slide is inserted. Be aware that if the previously selected Slide Layout was the Title Slide layout, your new slide will appear with the Bulleted List layout (Title And Text layout in PowerPoint 2002).
